Technote 2 15.11.1997 Sometimes a stable transmission of 14400 baud cannot be achieved, e.g. on GSM transmissions. Described is a AVIS hardware modification. Since the serial output is still at 19200 baud, the modem buffer must be able to capture the image data before transmission. Modifications of AVIS for a stable GSM transmission (9600baud) 1. lift pin 12 of U16 (MAX232) 2. connect pin 14 of U6 (74390) to pin 8 (GND) 3. connect pin 15 of U6 (74390) to pin 7 of U10 (CA3304) 4. connect pin 13 of U6 (74390) to pin 1 of U17 (7404) This will make AVIS transmit only every second image, but still work at 19200 baud output. Flow control is disabled.
